Colonoscopy
A Colonoscopy is an examination of your colon (large intestine). Your doctor will use a colonoscope (a thin flexible tube with a camera) to examine the inside of your colon on a video monitor. You will be sedated for this procedure. It is important that you follow your preparation instructions carefully. If your colon is not cleaned out, your doctor may not be able to thoroughly examine the walls of the colon to see polyps or other problems. Please call our office if you have any questions.
